Jeremy Renner Rocks!

Jeremy Renner is one of the best actors around, and I hate that he doesn't get the credit he deserves. So I created this page as a tribute to my favorite actor, Jeremy Renner. Ever since I saw him in S.W.A.T. I was hooked, and I've been following his film career ever since.

Jeremy Renner is mostly known in the independent film industry having done numerous independent movies including Dahmer, 12 and Holding, and A Little Trip to Heaven.

His big screen breakout performance was in S.W.A.T. opposite Colin Farrell, where he plays an ex-S.W.A.T. officer gone bad. He also did an outstanding job as wise-cracking Delta Force sniper, Sergeant Doyle, in the horror film 28 Weeks Later; and played along side Brad Pitt in The Assasination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.

The Unusuals airs on Wednesdays at 10:00 p.m. (PT) on ABC (right after Lost).  In The Unsuals, Jeremy Renner plays NYPD homicide detective James Walsh, who is part of a group of police detectives assigned to solve "unusual" cases. Amber Tamblyn (from Joan of Arcadia) will play Detective Casey Shraeger, Det. Walsh's new partner. The two will work together to solve the murder of Det. Walsh's ex-partner. I'm really liking this show, so I hope it makes it. 

The Hurt Locker is about a U.S. Army bomb disposal team in Iraq, and Jeremy Renner plays their new reckless leader, a hotshot bomb diffuser. The Hurt Locker premiered at the Venice Film Festival in Italy on September 4, 2008. Jeremy Renner was subsequently nominated for best actor at the Independent Spirit Awards for his performance in The Hurt Locker, but lost to Mickey Rourke. The Hurt Locker is scheduled to be released in the U.S. on June 26th, 2009 in New York and Los Angeles, with a wider release in July.

3-4-09: The Hurt Locker will be screened at the AFI DALLAS International Film Festival in Dallas, TX on Saturday, March 28 in the Magnolia Theater. Director, Kathryn Bigelow will receive the AFI DALLAS Star Award prior to the screening. Jeremy Renner is scheduled to be in attendance. Tickets can be purchased online, by phone (214-720-0663), or at the Box Office located at the AFI DALLAS locations at NorthPark Center and Victory Park.

2-26-09: Jeremy Renner tells MTV News that contrary to rumors, he has not been cast in the upcoming movie, The Losers, although he would like to be. The Losers is based on a graphic novel (comic book) where a group of special forces soldiers declare war against the CIA after the CIA tries to assassinate them. Jeremy Renner, however, is interested in playing the role of Jensen, the motor-mouthed techie in The Losers, so hopefully he'll get his wish because it sounds like a role that he'd be perfect for.  But unfortunately at this time, Jeremy Renner is not a Loser. (Hmmm, there's something really wrong with that statement!) Also, Jeffrey Dean Morgan has already been cast as Clay, the leader of the bunch.

Nov 2008: Jeremy Renner bought a $1.55M home in Hollywood, CA. He purchased the home along with fellow actor, Kristoffer Winters. Both actors were in the movie The Hurt Locker together. The home has five bedrooms and four bathrooms. (Address is not disclosed for privacy reasons.)

• He's a great singer and also plays the guitar and drums.
• Was in a band called "Sons of Ben".
• He was the sheriff in Pink's music video, "Trouble".

• If he could only have one song on his iPod it would be AC/DC's Back in Black.

TMZ spotted Jeremy Renner coming out of the Villa Lounge, an upscale night club in West Hollywood last November. Although he did tell TMZ Villa wasn't his thing, who knows, maybe he'll give it another try.
